ARCHERY FOR EVERYONE

YOUTH LESSONS

7 TO 18 years old

Salt Lake Archery offers archery lessons for kids on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings. For a small fee of $8.00, kids receive equipment, shooting time, and instruction by certified instructors.

Our beginning class is limited to 10 students, so we recommend you call ahead. The lesson begins at 6:30 and ends at 7:30.

From 7:30 to 9:00 on Mondays and Wednesdays, we offer a class for intermediate archers. The cost is $8.00 per lesson and equipment is included or kids can shoot their own equipment. These lessons are designed to prepare youth archers for competitive archery through the Utah Hot Shot J.O.A.D. Archery Club. J.O.A.D. (Junior Olympic Archery Development Program) is administered by USA Archery. This program is an individual achievement program. The archer moves through the rankings by reaching progressive scores for which they receive an award.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lessons for adults or youth can also be arranged. We can teach youth and adults with special needs. There is an instructor fee of $25.00 for an hour. The equipment fee is $5.00 and the range fee is $6.00. Day and evening times are available. Call to make an appointment.

OPEN PUBLIC SHOOTING

Our regular shooting rate for people with their own equipment is $6.00 for all day. We have monthly passes for $30.00 and yearly passes for $300.00. If you need to rent equipment the cost for a recurve or Genesis bow, arrows and safety equipment is $5.00. There is no instruction included with the shooting or rental fee.

SCOUT MERIT BADGES

Scouts can do everything they need to do to get their merit badges at Salt Lake Archery. We build arrows, learn about building strings, and shoot. Merit badge classes are by appointment only. It usually takes two sessions to complete the badge. One session is used to build the arrow and string and the other is used for shooting. If necessary, additional shooting sessions can be arranged.

CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS

Our instructors are certified through USA Archery. We also can teach the NAA Level One and Level Two Instructor Courses.

TARGET AND 3-D LEAGUES

Salt Lake Archery offers leagues throughout the fall and winter months. Most leagues are open to the public. Bowhunter and 3-D leagues run during the winter and spring on most week nights. They have their own officers, collect their fees, and plan their own awards and prizes. They last from 8 to 12 weeks.

We do also occasionally rent out our space for private events - such as businesses, church groups and family groups.

PRO SHOP

We also have a fully stocked pro shop at Salt Lake Archery. Our staff can help you with any of your equipment or shooting problems.

Your custom set up is no problem for us. We can build custom strings and custom arrows and help with your custom tuning.

We carry Hoyt, Reflex, Martin, Browning, PSE, and Parker bows and both aluminum and carbon arrows. We can custom order most Bow models at a discount.

We have a complete selection of accessories, for both the bowhunter and the target shooter.

We can help you with your hunting & target needs, both recurve and compound.
